Malus domestica

Everyone should have an apple tree in their garden. If you have a smaller garden, then our lei apples are the solution. The apple as an espalier retains its shape well, just like the pear. We offer the lemalus in several models. Each shape can be trained in its own way. Our leifruit is grown from virus-free starting material. We offer lei apple trees in different varieties. Tell us which apple you like and we will make you a proposal.

Application

Leifruit can be applied in different ways, from classical setups to modern demarcations. The strength of leifruit lies in a large yield on little space, usually guaranteed and at picking height. The abundant blossom is an extra.

Maintenance

The maintenance of leifruit is an interesting subject to study. With the right techniques and timing, you can optimise the yield and you will be amazed at what your tree can produce. For this, a good basic tree is a must.

Here are a few basic rules that will already give you a good result:

  • Prune away wild shoots or water shoots. These are the heavily growing twigs that sprout vertically from the horizontal or sloping stem branches. You recognise them especially by the fact that the eyes or leaf buds are a little further apart.
  • The other twigs that are more closely spaced and grow more densely are the spores. The spurs are shorter in length and contain more buds. The flowers and fruit grow on them. You can leave these twigs standing, or if they are too bushy, you can thin them out.
