Ficus carica

The fig tree has a special status at our nursery. It was one of the first trees to be used for privacy applications. We use the fig tree mainly for its beautiful leaves, the fruits are a nice extra. The leaves are fresh, healthy and give off a sweet, pleasant fragrance.

 

The parasol fig

The fig as parasol tree filters and softens the bright sunlight in its own unique way. The fig leaf moves gently, even in strong winds. The leaf with its deep lobes tolerates extreme sunlight and resists heat stress.
